Great Comebacks
Two of the greatest comebacks in football history, in the same cup competition, in the same year, in adjacent rounds!

great stuff mfc. I remember leading liverpool 3-0 at anfield after 20 minutes. 93/94 season it was. I really thought we would murder them. Two Nigel Clough goals and a brave header by Ruddock and it was 3-3. One of the best utd/liverpool games in the last 25 years. Sheer drama.

My favourite United comeback was coincidentally in the same season. We were 2-0 down to city at Maine Road to two great Niall Quinn headers. In the second half we were galvanised by them playing the Freddie Mercury/Monserrat Caballé song "Barcelona", at half time. We had just been annihilated 4-0 at the camp nou, earlier in the week. Two cantona goals and a Roy Keane late in the box special, and we won 3-2.

I put that ahead of us coming from 3-0 down at the lane in 01/02 season.

Aye it's more special when it's against your local rivals definately! I never knew the 'Barcelona' story about City playing the song at half time etc. That's brilliant. You can imagine the City fans laughing their arses off in the stands as the song was playing only to then be fuming, gutted and sulking like fook at the final whistlel! Talk about a bitter/sweet 90 mins lol lol!!!

Yep, totally true,

they had us all ends up. Fergie was raging at us, and paused mid sentence to ask "what the fucks that?, are they playin Barcelona on the tannoy? Right, I have nothing more to say, get out there and put that right!!!" We mullered 'em second half. Apparently the clubs we were due to play in the coming weeks, warned their deejays!!

A mate's dad was pulled up by one of those people on one of those stands you see in shopping centres.

Have you had any accidents recently sir? he was asked.

Well, I shit myself a few days ago. Came the reply.

True story ha ha!
