Gary Cahill-is he any good

Haven't seen an awful lot of him and when I have I have never been wowed. He is being linked with the mighty Gunners for 15mil-am I missing something?

He's been linked with a few teams for decent money.

It's hard to tell how good he is. Playing in a Bolton side, he stands out as better than the rest, but I don't know if he can make 'the step up' (no disrespect to Bolton).

It's a gamble but you won't get an established world-class central defender for that money.

You can, just as long as he isnt english.

As for cahill he cant be any worse than Squillaci, and seems pretty decent in the air.

When i saw Smalling playing for Fulham I really didn't expect to see him play at all for United.

A good center back, like Cahill, will be a great center back in a decent team.
