Ive recently noticed that the BROADCAST modules are carrying the adverts now-streami-hogy-veemi-jtv-ustream-that awful zonein -ALL carry screen adverts .I dont see how anyone can remove them given the limited embed code you get from the caster(size shape colour etc is about it)Also many website providers require ad space unless you subscribe to ridiculous packs. That leaves little scope for the person who ACTUALLY OWNS said site to place ANY ads whatsoever-first row -vip stand both use pop up & under adverts on main pages & every stream page -these are from both the embedded feed & the site owner (can be easily checked on source)

Also there is somethin else-Many sites like the reputable ones you list above have GENUINE affiliates (called a whitelist)so a site that has permissions & is even encouraged to take feeds to lessen numbers on a certain site -could be deemed as "bad" here when in fact they simply are not. I wont name any sites that do this as its probably against forum rules.but there are several sites now that affiliate with the "big boys" on a friendly basis, unlike in recent years when behaviour has been very childish.Yes there are sites that steal streams.there are people who steal cars, money, handbags,it happens. It is simple these days to stop this & this fact has led to these amalgamations betweek certain sites. This is a great thing.Simply down to the people now running these big sites, who dont see £££ they see footy fans who cant afford SLY TV .Long may this continue

well said. If only this was the norm and not the exception.
This can be seen every week when we have to ask another streamer to leave for "borrowing" other peoples streams, to pass off as their own.

agree with Sten a superb post MCF
id just add a couple of points
i dont think it is breaking any confidences to state that one of the reasons the "original streamer" policy was initially adopted was to protect the streamer as much as anyone else as at the time the embed boom was just taking off and too many people were ripping others streams and broadcasting them at poor quality reflecting badly on the original streamer ,as well as wasting both linkfinders and members valusable time ploughing through poor quality repeats of good original streams

i dont know if given the amount of sites now adopting the "whitelist" policy if its as widespread a policy as was but several streamers (some big some not) would actually rent their stream out to smaller normally single page or blog based streamers who would then swamp their page and stream with ads just to cover the cost ,something which went against the principles of this site and was seen as blatant over commercialism and exploitation of both the smaller (willing) streamer and those viewing the streams
thankfully now sites are passing streams over to those who perhaps can help ease server strain etc and i for one as a member and viewer dont mind as long as both parties agree and no one charging the other and the stream doesnt deteriorate as a result

but i do still agree that fsi is right to try and filter out and not post links for anyone who is "stealing" and profiting from someone .who perhaps doesnt even have a single ad efforts to provide a free stream in the original and sole intention of free football for the masses as was the case with all streamers at one time

Non-Streamer Sites.
I am disappointed that the ads have driven people away, me included. I spent ages on a SHARED computer trying to watch Baggies matches and have ended up frustrated and angry at the totally selfish sites who promise all and show nowt ! They will find they cannot fool all of the people all of the time.

remeber using adblock will fix most sites ads (notall)and save the ads from spoiling anyones viewing of matches
as MCF pointed out for several reasons some site do require to have ads in place ,not something any of us like but unavoidable in some cases ,that however thanks to adblock and other simlar devices deasnt mean we have to endure them

also most matches do have at least 1 sopcast stream and apart from the sopcast ad on their front page (easily switched off/blocked) the streams are ad free

if anyone is considering giving up viewing streams or needs any help on dealing with popup or embeded ads
simply post and we will do all we can to help guide you to a more enjoyable streaming experience

Eternally greatfull to fsi for helping me watch the footy.

I disagree that there's Sop links for most games.

My team (Everton) usually only get a Sopcast link when we're playing a top 4-8 side.

The browser links stopped working on chrome a few weeks ago, and now they dont work on explorer.

I need help

please try making sure you have the latest flash players installed andare activatedand compatible for each of the browsers you use
you may also want to try clearing your cache and cookies before viewing a stream and see if that help
also please check your firewall(s) are not blocking your flash players or p2p conections
one last idea
are all your video codecs up to date as well
try checking all of the above then a stream if you still have the problem we will do all we can to help
