Flash memory leak.
Have a problem with memory leakage, every time I am on a site using flash, whether it be gaming or video, the memory usage keeps creeping up and with it the CPU going along at 100% until I have to close the browser (doesn't matter which browser IE, FF, Chrome). Been going through the old Google to see if that has any answers but nothing conclusive, just a load of sites saying yeah there is a problem but never telling how to solve it. Just wondering if you guys know of any solutions to this as its starting to do my head in, also tried rolling back the JAVA Flash thing but still the same problem.

P.S.

If any one also knows how to stop Windows Update hogging my CPU I would also be grateful as the Hotfix that Microsoft brought out hasn't worked one bit.

Yeah thats what I do at the moment, but it takes the piss when you have to wait all night for it to download updates. Can't do anything else on the PC as the CPU is being completely whored by it. Obviously enough I can't keep it using the CPU as much as it will eventually cook the fucking thing. That's if I don't destroy the PC first.

Control panel>System and Security>Windows update>change settings>click Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them

You should never have windows update automatically in my book. 90% of updates are shit you dont need.

I'd update your Flash card drivers to solve the first problem. They will be available from your manufacturers website ie: Toshiba etc

You could try the Flashblock plugin for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433

Regarding your Win update issue, run FixWu, works a treat. http://majorgeeks.com/Fix_WU_d6278.html
