Firefox
Has anybody else had problems with Firefox lately?
I've been getting a 'Firefox not responding' message for a while now. It 'halts' the browser for 20 - 30 seconds, then comes back as if nothing has happened.
I've checked the Mozilla site and they recognise the problem but are blaming the problem on me. One of my add-ons must be out of date, according to them. I've checked them all and none are out of date.
I hate using commercial browsers. What's my next choice?

Tend to use Chrome at the moment, but thats only because it was the web browser that was pre-installed on my laptop. Haven't used Firefox for months.

Have had same problem begs, last month or so. Although I have just built my first pc, so everything is a new install and everything is running sweet as a nut. Maybe a bit extreme to go via that method.
Firefox seems to update so often, beginning to annoy me now so think I will give chrome a try.

Don't believe it, I've just installed Firefox cos I thought it was the best one. So you all recommend Chrome now then?

I actually use both - Chrome for my Facebook and other media accounts, and Firefox for everything else.
Chrome's adblock is pretty good and I find it loads graphics and byte heavy websites faster than Firefox does
But I find Firefox easier to use for surfing and downloading porn.
I mean, surfing and researching.

Yeah, I had that problem with firefox - and it will be an extension or plugin causing the hang up. Mine was Flash (once I unistalled flash it worked fine - but i couldn't watch any videos...).
Reinstalled windows on a new HDD and it's all fine now.
Chrome is good - it's adblock is nowhere near as good as firefox's.

If I knew that Firefox had sorted out the 'stalling' problem, I would go back to it. I tried the 'safe-mode' in Firefox (available when you go to the Firefox 'Help' setting, disabling all my add-ons) and the problem was still there. My Flash is up to date. Firefox are rushing out new versions without fully testing if they are 'backward compatible'.
