If it was Messi he'd have meant it and would be shown round the world as a brilliant piece of skill from the world's best. As it was Burrows from Glentoran it was just a fluke. Doesn't matter who it is the bottom line is he tried it and it went in so in my book he meant it. Brilliant goal that and the fact it was in injury time makes it all the sweeter lol! Great post mate

i reckon he meant it,i was behind the goal when he scored it thought so at the time and you can see on the video as soon as he hits it he turns to see were it ended up,scored a cracker overhead kick the other week,the sort of player who knows that as long as you get a touch goalward anything could happen

nice to see a local lad getting a bit of recognition,its what we need over here "local heroes" with the norn iron team getting decent results and performances over the last few years and regulars in the old firm instead of kids gazing in awe at the wealth of talent abroad.

Ok you horrible lot do something nice for once and vote for Matty Burrows to win goal of the year! He is up against some overpaid tarts who play in front of 100, 000 every week against his 1,000 so he is a total underdog, but I believe, I had a dream..........here is a link to the voting
