Hope the Yak stays ... he's not the player he was before the injury but he can still hold the ball up well and brings others into play, ala Big Dunc towards the end.

With regards to Beckford, I'm still not entirely convinced. I sense another Brett Angell tbh

But then again, Moysey doesn't get much wrong when it comes to bargain signings, so one never knows.

So its Blackburn to start and Chelsea to finish.We have a fair start with Wolves,Villa,Man U,Newcastle,Fulham and Birmingham.Vital we hit the ground running this season we should have most of the squad fit and ready to go should be a good season ahead..

its not to bad,altho some hard away games to begin with i think,but we have to play everyone at some time or another,this http://twitpic.com/1uulyk is supposed to be our new home kit due out next month sometime [its better than the pink but what isnt],which ive seen for weeks,also seen a white kit last april which must be a 3rd kit

Man City are after Arteta they have thrown Stephen Ireland, Nedum Onuoha and Michael Johnson into the package to get him.I think city will say name your price as Moyse is only interested in Onuoha,after the debacle with Lescott last season lets hope this wont drag on i hope he stays we shouldnt let our best players go but City have the dosh to tempt..

Arteta has told fans in Austraila he wont be leaving-believe what you will tho,dont think he will leave myself and it seems to have gone very quiet on the pienaar front,Ps Sydney v Everton this saturday at 10.30am is live on ESPN for those who have that channel [or just watch via a stream that will turn up] - i will watch our friendlys on everton tv - one thing i want know is why are all our players just seem to be getting linked with anyone this summer,you would think we finished 4th bottom or got relegated

Game is repeated at 5.30pm on espn and the other 2 games down under are live on espn wed 14th at 10.30am and sat 17th 10.30am,think sydney are a decent team,sure they won league last year or year before or something,playing sydney is just like playing man utd really no competition

Personally I think if he doesn't sign by, say, mid-August, we should look to offload him. Yes, he's had a decent couple of seasons for us, but he had a poor World Cup (given the hype) and we could still probably get a decent amount for him.

Having said that, if we do let him go, Moysey needs to find another playmaker/creative midfielder fast - we can't afford to only have Arteta as a creative force ... it was the reason we were so pap early on last season.

I am not bothered one way or another to be honest,but the strange thing is that he is still contracted to us for another year or 2 Gos report and thats one of a number of same type of reports ive seen where they say that hes actually done deal,so dont have a clue how or whats going on with him,some say he turned down a double your money contract which isnt bad considering he hasnt played much,but he is only remembered for 2 goals really the one against liverpool when some saw the adds and the man utd goal in febuary this year,he was supposed to be very unhappy about not playing more and not playing in his fav centre mid pos which would be hard when we have arteta/pienaar/rodwell and co,plus hes out injured till at least october,west ham/newcastle and sunderland i hear want him

On the Gosling issue someones fucked up big time Gosling on A FREE for fucks sake the guys in admin should hang their heads in shame he is easily worth 5 million.
On a lighter subject im reading THE EVERTON MICELLANY its got the lot a brilliant read one line in the book sums us up.Its from ALAN BALL who quotes "once Everton has touched you nothing will be the same".

Everton won their 1st pre seson friendly v sydney after only been back training for a week with a goal from victor anichebe in the 46th minute
Our new young siging magaye-gueye came on in the 2nd half and looked very good and if you believe reports he has already told arteta he wants to take all the free kicks etc,cahill was the captain for the 2nd half and everton allowed him to run on by himself to the Applause of the crowd,it was an ok game,40,466 were at game
