I agree he should have gone but it still doesn't alter the fact that I'm sick of Gerrards diving I know he's not the only player to do it but he's the only one who gets away with it I know Wayne Rooney has done it but he's been punished but no one seems to notice Gerrard

David Moyes has confirmed midfielder Marouane Fellaini is likely to be out for six months.

The Belgian injured an ankle in a controversial challenge with Liverpool's Sotirios Kyrgiakos during the Merseyside derby earlier this month and sat out last week's victory against Chelsea.
But manager Moyes has revealed he will now have to plan for the remainder of the 2009/10 campaign without the 22-year-old.
"He's not good," said Moyes. "He's going to have an operation. He's got a similar injury to Robin van Persie and it's probably going to keep him out for six months."

Arsenal striker Van Persie is expected to miss the rest of the season after rupturing ankle ligaments.

The six-month prognosis places Fellaini's predicted return at mid-August, by which point the 2010/11 Premier League season will be set to begin,

why cant everton have a normal injured player out for one or two weeks instead of 4 months etc, when one comes bk another goes out.

So true Fishy he will be badly missed. Shame about the other night against Lisbon hopefuly we can hold them in the return leg .Great result against Chelsea we finaly put one over on them shame it wasnt the cup final ,but it was a great performance Man U tommorow 2-2 will do me. Saha is going from strength to strength this season his goals against Chelsea were superb lets hope he can bag a few tommorow.

I missed the first 10 minutes of motd as setting telly/sky up to new tv,just in time for the goals tho,i will watch it in the morning again at 7.45 as well as about 20 other times on various programmes, the games we have just played
[man utd/liverpool/chelsea plus spurs next week-i was not expecting many points, but im happy anyway altho in pain, dont think there's to many teams that go behind to man utd and chelsea yet comeback to win them in the same season and deserve to win them at that.

Its the games after next week the ones that you expect everton to win v the like's of Hull,Birmingham,Bolton,West ham etc that will be the hardest to win,but 6 points behind 5th place and 7 points behind 4th place before sundays games is some going considering how bad we were at the start of the season.

Good win for you guys today , fair plar n all that bollox . United were utter crap defensively just like Tuesday . Taking nowt away from the toffs they had the desire to win . Baffles me how utd are even 2nd this season tbh and some of the players need to get to fuck . Carrick (pansy ) Berbatov ( useless bar a goal ) the rest today were average . SAF needs to take a few more tabs cos his after match coments were pathectic .Everton wernt excelent today but as usual good to watch , Donovan seems a good loan hopefully for you he could be persuaded to stay . Im glad Neville Neville was there to watch Neville and Neville

Woeful performance last night totaly inept negative tactics this after two fine results in the prem.Lisbon is not a happy hunting ground for us after the mauling by Benfica and now Sporting who are struggling by all accounts in their league. After all the hype in the press and Nevs battle cry before the game last night saying this is our year we were embarrasing it happens all the time with us i cant explain that performance it was shite...

I cant believe how we didnt come away with at least a draw at the lane today.I lost count with the number of chances we had in a superb game that was end to end. Fair does to the team after we went 2 down we pressed well after the Yaks goal.Rodwell, and Pienaar with two cracking strikes were denied by Gomes but Donavons far post miss when all he had to do was tap in was crucial as i thought at that stage we had spurs on the backfoot.Jags came on for Osman second half and nearly scored with a flying header. but it was an improvement on Thursday we played well in this game so that was just a one off.We have done well against spurs in recent seasons with a bit of luck that trend could have continued but well done to tottenham who took their chances well the Modric goal was sheer class..

Agree,we did not start at all till the 2nd half again,we seem to need to go behind for a period of time before we start to play most times, think if we got that 2nd goal that looked like it was going to come i think we could have gone on and won as spurs were all over the place at times in the 2nd half.

Hull today should be a walk in the park lol Landon Donavon plays his last game for us today he has played well the time he has been with us.Chelsea are keen to sign him 10 mill has been talked of ,there is no way we could afford him Moysie has contract talks with major players to sort out this summer Pienaar-Rodwell and Gosling .On todays game Cahill should return but Saha is still out.

Donovan plays his last game next week, its his last home game today for us today, things could change and he might stay if the american league starts late and im not surprised he will now get linked with other teams,i was expecting that weeks ago as normal when someone plays well at everton.

Two points dropped on the weekend 2-0 up in control and we go and mess it up yet again i thought Howard could have done better with both goals his opposite number made a brilliant save from pienaar which would have put us out of sight it was a save of the season from Hart.Howard on the other hand was slow to react to both goals especially the daft first. So we have failed to beat Birmingham this season who we have a great record against shows they must be improving they also knocked us out of the FA CUP but we should have beaten them, Victor finally scored and what a goal it was ,it was like have some of that the venom at which he hit the ball, hopefuly he can add more before the season ends. But the game was a let down for me and possibly harms our chances of Europe.

Closing in on the eurpean places now after the 2-0 win over Bolton it wont bother me if we fail though .If we had started well this campaign im sure wed have nailed the 4th spot no problem. So next season maybe with no european games to worry about and injury free we will be in with a great chance of champions league football we can do it we have shown we can be a match for any team, besides this europa league can be a pain with all the daft games you have to play.If we are in it next season so be it but i think our sights should be set higher with the squad we have..

7th place will be good enough for euro place if certain things happen in the run in [its not in our hands for 7th tho],so with the games to go which really we should win a lot of them think we might even get a chance this season which is some going for us considering how bad we were from aug-dec,before saturday as you probably know we would be in top 3 if league started Jan 1,think we might win our 3 home games v west ham, fulham, portsmouth, then it depends what we do away v man city, wolves, villa, blackburn & stoke,
we always seem to start our season about 2 months or so after the prem league actually starts, and by the way donovan will not be back this season as the MLS have agreed a deal to start their league.

Fantastic performance from the team tonight in beating city 2-0 both goals were brilliantly worked .The first was a cleverly worked free kick Arteta fed Baines who whipped in a cross that Cahill buried.Up until then though we couldnt get out of our own half but the goal settled us.Second half first 20 mins i thought we were superb Osman but for a deflection with a wicked shot should have put us two up.Cahill with a sublime piece of skill when he tried to chip Given to me it looked like it was in all the way but it just went over the top.City came at us late on but the killer second stunned them Rodwell on the right crossed to Cahill who dummied the defender Arteta behind him slotted home his 4th in 4 games for a well deserved victory.Jags was excellent tonight he snuffed out everything city through at us he is well and trully back now at the end Mancini with the pressure surely getting to him along with Moysie who was having a go at him were both sent to the stands but it was a great result for us.

p.s did you see Drogbas opener against Portsmouth i was pissing myself..

Yeah,we were 1st team to win at city since 12th april, but we have won 2 off our last 3 games there before tonight,at times we were taking a bit of beating mostly by tevez himself, but we got 2 good goals, and defended pretty well, city really didnt do much apart from huff and puff-cant even remember howard having to make a save,we have made it closer between 5th to 8th as score's went everton's way for 2nd time in a few days.
