Everton-Premiership 10/11
Well our pre season form is shocking one win in six last night we were beaten by blackpool 2-1 with a near full strength squad.Remember last seasons poor form going into the new season and the poor start we had then .Jo was injured last last night but should be fine.Looks like lescott wants out word is hes changed his tune and wants to leave and senderos is a no go at the moment because of the fee moyes will only offer 3 million arsenal want 6.With only a couple of weeks to the new season again nothing is happening in the transfer market for us with the results pre season we need new personel..Happy days ahead..lol

Are Arteta and Yakuba back yet? Jo was a bit of a non-event last year but Saha looked pretty sharp.

I think if Everton can get 15-20m for Lescott that is a bloody good deal, i wasn't hugely impressed with his performances last year compared to Jagielka. Fellani will be missed while he is recovering - but i still think Everton will secure 6th place at least. Villa have lost key players and really looked like their bubble burst around February last year. All depends on Man City

Both are not ready yet yakubu is not far away Jo did ok for us but he was injured last night but as you say saha is class when fit i think lescott will go which is a shame as him and jags were near perfect together but 20 mil is a good return .Villa i believe have signed delph a player we hoped to sign i rate him highly we keep missing out on these players spurs have nicked naughton off us he was expected to join us but harry put a last minute bid in its frustrating as we are a top 6 side ..

Villas main concern is defense - lost some key players and i'm never too convinced of their midfield - especially without Barry who had a fairly ordinary season last year. Buying an injured Downing is possibly the most comical buy of the summer - didn't score a single goal last season.

Moyes seems to dig a few youth players out when he has to and they often come up with the goods.

Technicaly we have won 2 games - We beat MLS ALL STARS becomming the 1st british team to beat them, all other british teams have lost to them] and we beat Rochdale, at coventry we were 1 minute from winning, verse River plate we lost 1-0 but should have been at least 2 up but somehow missed great chances,At bury we lost after been ahead but made quite a few changes when ahead, and blackpool we were indeed bad and probably should have lost by a lot more, would not worry to much as everton either start well and have bad middle part of season then good end of season,or bad start, then good middle and end very badly, and we have lost only around 4 games in 30ish since october - thats pretty good to me
dont forget considering we had a number of players out last season we got our 2nd highest points total in the last 10 or so years,I still go for Man utd then liverpool for league and us to be 5th plus man city to be 7th ot 8th and for some bizzare reason Everton reportedly denied last night that lescott had asked for a transfer-he should be bk for fridays friendly v malaga at goodison so we will see what kind of reception he will get.

Lescott started tonight in our final pre season game with Malaga which we won 2-1 goals from Saha and Osman .Pienaar and fellaini played well tonight on the whole a much improved performance going into the Arsenal game.
In the Europa league weve drawn the side that demolished Aberdeen 8-1 SK SIGMA.Nice easy game for us no doubt lol. They are unbeaten this season after 6 games they finished 4th in the czech league the first leg is at Goodison.

Yes we played very well tonight, should have been at least 5 goals to the good in the 1st half and lescott got the biggest cheer when his name got read out which shows how good our fans are to him when others probably would shout abuse for reportedly saying what he is supposed to have said,on to the europe game we would make even an irish team look world beaters so it would not matter who we were drawn against.

Total shambles of a first half for us 3-0 down and i fear more to come we have just lumped to many long balls for jo poor lad is having no luck at all ,fellaini the only chance of the half with a header off the line.Arsenal have been just to good denilson scoring a cracker after good work by bendtner on the right ,vermaelen getting on the end of a superb long ball freekick totaly unmarked then the same thing happens with gallas unmarked 3-0 and a nightmare opening half for us.

Clearly not that poor then really.

Anyway I wouldn't worry too much about that result, I certainly can't see that happening again for quite some time (Everton losing 6-1 I mean, Arsenal winning 6-1 will happen loads ).

The lescott situation doesn't really help and it's probably better for you to sell the mug. I wish you luck in your future games, I don't mind Everton as a team

Arsenal seem to recently like comming to the city of Liverpool scoring a lot of goals at Goodison or Anfield, odd enough just seen if true that the last time Everton conceeded 6 at home before yesterday [was a 6-1 defeat] to Arsenal years and yeaars ago, know last 2 arsenal wins were 4-1 at goodison so you went 2 better yesterday.

We were outclassed by arsenal our defending as usual early season was poor we backed off to many times the fabregas goal well it was comical no one went to him.If anything this result is a wake up call to buy new players if that means selling lescott so be it he doesnt want to play for us anyway.I hope this was just a one off as arsenal were outstanding and i thought we had a chance against them with the players they were missing, jeez weve had some hammerings off them down the years but this was painful to watch ..

Some cracking goals tonight by Saha whos second was a sublime finish top marks for him tonight as the lone striker, but Jack Rodwell just pipped him as man of the match with two brilliant strikes .A comfortable 4-0 scoreline but we struggled first 20 mins Sigma could have had a couple of pens but we rode out a shoddy start and started to play some neat football after Sahas opener. The boys played as unit tonight with some great build up play how Baines wasnt given a penalty after a great run to the box only to be blocked is a mystery, but this was a big improvement from the weekend. Lescott was dropped tonight because of his attitude i think its only a matter of days with him now surely he will go now.We should qualify for the group stages after this surely we cant blow this now...
