Ethernet link
I was regularly getting speeds of 1-2 Mbps on an 8 Mbps line, via the USB port. I installed an Ethernet card and am now getting 5-6 Mbps. Happy days. Worth a try if you are connecting via USB.

uTorrent
Further to that, my uTorrent hasn't been happy since I put the card in. The port is forwarded, but the uTorrent check says that it isn't. I get the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark instead of the green tick. Any ideas why or how to resolve?

Try deleting settings.dat and settings.dat.old from %AppData%\uTorrent when utorrent is closed
This will set it back to defaults and you should get the green tick again when you try and log in next time
If that doesn't work have £20 win on Sheff Utd!
cheers

I think I did something along similar lines when I came back to this site. I hadn't really used forums before so didn't know the etiquette.

The threads eventually get moved to the Archives when somebody takes a notion to spring clean. Eventually they are deleted. That affects long-time posters' post counts so you may have to hit the thousand barrier again if somebody dungs out the Archives.

Any browser based stream showing this (allow sopcore) should be banned, (my point of view...not legally binding!)
Be aware.
