England vs Montenegro
Rooney's Red:
ManYoo fans will say he's a genius who lives on the edge .. and his da had just been arrested so he was bound to explode
Capello's critics will say his da was arrested and he shouldn't have been picked
Rooney's critics will just say he's a numbnut
But seriously, the second half performance was terrible.

The only England match I'm caring about kicks off 8.30 Saturday morning.
This probably typifies why I can't be arsed with the football national team any more.

Yeah I was so excited about this match that I finished watching The Walking Dead over this. Just checked the score now, another boring, uninspiring draw by the sounds of it. Seems I made the right choice on what to watch tonight.

Joe Hart now shows just why footballers, especially England players, seem to think they're special - apparently Rooney's red card decision was "pathetic"
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...ard%27?cc=4716
Apparently everyone who saw the kick, except Joe Hart, was wrong.

Got no hopes for this current squad. Spain will walk it. We'll do well to make the quarter finals.
Sigh. Darren bent up front. Sighs again.

Heskey out of retirement for next game ?
That's the point, just lose hope but maybe that will be the best thing not to expect too much. Trying to convince myself.
Same old thing choosing the names not the players in form. Why not play Sturridge. He is in form and looks great prospect. Few months ago it was the promise of giving the youngsters a go?

Lots of discussion about what length of ban he will get-is it not 3 games for violent conduct, end of?

He only got a 2 game ban for the stamp on Carvalho.
I think maybe this is why Rooney will never be a world class player. Don't get me wrong he is a great player but the truly world class players have the temperament to match. All the time he does silly things like that, its would all that he will be remembered for, great talent but never truly fulfilled .

Maybe 3rd time lucky the next one, in my lifetime, any way. Gazza looked to be able to do it but his downfall was off the field mostly , Rooney is on and off the field.
World class players make the back pages, not the front.
Should be at least 3 for being such a child and kicking out because it's not fair. He can be brilliant and great to watch and then a complete twat the next minute. So frustrating for fans, managers and other players too. Would love to know what most other England players thought of him, although thinking about it most are the same.

And they'll uphold the ban and increase it for appealing. Violent conduct against another player is a 3 match ban.

I doubt they will increase it. UEFA are not the FA.

I was expecting a 3 game ban. Sendings off which which are a lot less obvious than Rooney's kick usually result in a 2 game ban.

I heard on the radio - and they know everything - that it could be increased.

Probably gave him the full 3 for previous.
I really hope the FA don't appeal, all the time the FA go running around backing Rooney then he will never learn.
