I have never understood the thinking of hitting a club with such a heavy punishment. If a club is in financial trouble they need help rather than putting the club into further trouble by losing potential income through sponsorship.

Only fair as they've broken rule after rule. 2nd time in 7 seasons and they didn't tell the truth at the start of the season to make sure they started the season.

25 points is fair, they got off scot free points wise last time. they are only 20 points off a relegation play off place. however, it should be heeded, the SFL have warned further sanctions await if they are still in administration come ma...rch. dropping dundee to the third would have been a logistical nightmare at this stage, tho dundee must ahve known this was coming before the start of the season, and carried on regardless, another reason the SFL probably took into consideration. expect further points sanctions or demotions to follow if it hasnt changed by the summer.

Uhmmm the first time dundee were under the jurisdiction of the spl, absolutely nothing to do with the incompetent clowns at the sfa. Who knew the main backers would do a runner ? While the ex-board of directors should also be strung up and hung there was no need for that sfa judgement which is trying to kill the club.

If Walter 'the cardigan' Smith says the punishment is way OTT then it's good enough for me. The appeal/s should be interesting.
