Defences win titles
My arse!
Fat Phillippa Dowd is a disgrace to "wankers in black". It seems referees win titles these days, Arsenal were just raped by this twat and for the third time this season. Joey Barton came straight through the back of Arshavin in the first half, result-free kick to Newcastle not a booking for JB. Second half Jb tries to break Diabys leg with a disgraceful tackle, Diaby gets up and pushes Barton and gets sent off-Barton who should have gone gets NOTHING! Fuck me! Then he gives Newcastle a very soft penalty which they score and then Nolan gets our keeper in a headlock and throws him to the ground, got to go right, especially after Diabys sending off-wrong-the keeper gets booked! Fuck me! As if the first penalty wasn't soft enough the ref pulled a Mr Whippy out of his arse with another nonsensical penalty. Now both these penalties were awarded by the ref, not linesmen and on both occasions he was in a poor position but could clearly give two penalties through a crowded box. Fuck me. There were lots of other awful decisions by this out of shape prick (you never see European refs shaped like this biggest loser) bvut these were his lowlights.
Fast forward to the Wolves game (only saw the last 20 mins) and you have Saint Ryan kick someone up in the air 10 seconds AFTER a free kick has been given and no red card and don't wait for the FA to look at it cos according to the commentator he got away with it due to 20 years of good behaviour. Fuck me.

I give you Mark Jitterbug. Finally, Arsenal are getting a few bad decisions. You're due them. Swings and roundabouts and all that?

Yeah you usually get 1 maybe 2 in a game if you are unlucky, to get as many as that in a single game you do start to question the level of quality. But just need to be careful we don't start going down the Celtic route here and end up pushing the refs over the brink

Don't watch ANY Scottish football so can't comment on Celtic BUT coming from a small country where two teams dominate the league I know that referees cheating on an almost organised scale happens. I also believe that certain referees continually fuck some teams over and favour others-Phil Dowd gave the most one sided set of decisions I have ever seen today, this from the ref who sent Song off at Sunderland for two nothing fouls then played more than the time indicated by the fourth official and then blew when the equaliser came, against Spurs he gave a series of soft free kicks, one of which led to the equalising penalty. Today took the biscuit, even in the first half the fourth official said two mins-he played four, during which Barton came clean through the back of Arshavin on the edge of our box-result? Free kick to Newcastle-he was willing them to score. Systemic cheating in England-the game is rigged.

Imp getting the ball was irrelevant, it is not a defence or shouldn't be with tackles like that. The sending off to me shows everything that is wrong in the game-a very dangerous tackle goes unpunished yet an undangerous push in the back is deemed worthy of a red? Referees have a hard job but this sort of shit is ridiculous and this along with yellows for taking your shirt off or cards for swearing at the ref are bullshit. We supposedly invented the game but if we did we have become complacent, even footballing backwaters like Australia dish out more than our 3 game ban covers all, no matter how bad the challenge. Hell even in Northern Ireland players have got 10 game bans for reoffending with bad tackles.

OK here's how i saw it. First penalty was a penalty no problem there. Second one - not a penalty ever just all going for the ball at the same time nothing wrong with that. Barton on Diaby was just a contested ball event - just good hard footy and you said yourself Diaby got straight up unhurt and grabbed Barton round the neck and pushed him to the ground - same as anyone else that does it he should've known better and got sent off. Correct decision. Your keeper was yellow carded for that incident as he unsportingly wouldn't give the ball back and caused the whole scene. I believe Nolan was shown a yellow for the headlock thing also. So all alright there. There was also a Newcastle goal that was incorrectly disallowed for offside in a very poor decision so it could've been 5-4.
And the Giggs tackle - cmon man that was nothing and once again the case of a player not giving the ball back. He should've been booked himself for taking off on a little dodge and run thing to waste time and on replay Giggs hardly touched him and he did the big theatrical dive and failed.
Wasnae a great day for either of us... Joey "Ah Ha" Barton's 80's haircut made me laugh though...

Agree with deadly apart from the giggs incident, he should have been dealt with. What I am disappointed with is Wengers lack of moaning, after the game, very unusual.

Have to agree, but the freekick that led upto the equaliser was a nothing challenge barton just dropped to the ground, rosicky had only eyes on the ball and didnt push him in any way, but still the type of free kicks the ref was giving newcastle all day. As for the nolan incident, is getting someone in a headlock more or less aggressive than just grabbing someone by the back of the neck, (which again barton went down incredibly easy for), i agree Diaby should have been sent off and should have known better, but Nolan should have been too.
All in all though, fair play to newcastle, they had the belief and we hung ourselves out to dry. The goal to equalize itself was a 1/100 (maybe more) cant fault either side for that. Just one of them things.
Its hardly coincidence that we have lost a commanding lead, birmingham, tottenham now newcastle, got lazy and complacent.

Beat Brum home and away Wakka, substitute Sunderland for Brum and you are right. The coincidence is that Dowd reffed all three.

I mean couple of years ago when eduardo got injured, but walcott scored two, seemed like we were in total control.
