Cleveland Police
Well that's me 80 quid lighter (speed awareness workshop) thanks to our boys in blue doing a sterling job and catching absolute fucking scum bags like me doing 35mph on the industrial estate where I work. The road is wide as fuck, the pavements are miles away from the road and no fucker was about, not to mention that doing 30mph on that road makes you feel like you're not moving.
I wouldn't care but I never speed, apart from when you creep over without realising which every fucker does from time to time but I quickly readjust and I ESPECIALLY don't speed when I'm at work ffs!
Saying that I haven't broken a speed limit since (I make use of the speed limiter and cruise control on the van now), good job too cos I've been through another 6 speed traps since I got stung the fucking robbing bastards.
Happy New Year... TWATS.

Why aren't they policing high-risk areas and accident blackspots?

Got a £60 fine for not wearing a seatbelt. I was in my works van doing multidrops, I was going to another house about 5-600 yards from where I was. What gets me with the seatlbelt law is why is it illegal not to wear a sealtbelt? At 16 we are deemed to be old enough to decide to smoke, at 18 deemed old enough to drink alcohol. But when we are drivers we are told that we must wear a seatlbelt incase we crash. I know the risks if I crash driving and should the worse happen then its my fault.

18 in N. Ireland to buy cigarettes, 17 to shag. What do you do after you've humped if you can't have a cigarette?

Motorists are easy targets and a CASH COW for all EU Govenrments. Tax on petrol, fines, blah, blah, blah.
If your 16 and come from a bad backgrund, they let you off.

Cigarette smokers were the original cash cow in the UK. Now that so many people have been priced out of smoking they have to find another target.
Re: The bad background. I find the opposite. If you come from a council estate, they treat you worse and try to provoke you. A cushy hour for them, sitting in a warm police station while you are processed and not having to do their job if you react, even verbally.

Like Begbie says I wouldn't mind if it was an accident blackspot, you can understand it then. I seen the police car when it was quite far off still but the cameras on them are so good they've already got you by the time you see them. I'd see a cyclist because I'm not fucking blind lol!
It's annoying me more because I went through another half dozen traps since and NONE of them where accidents happen. One was on a lone road on the way into Teesport and another outside the Boro ground, a 40mph road that drops to 30mph as you go round a bend and then the twats sit just round that bend waiting, not on a match day or anything though when there's lots of pedestrians, this was at 08:15am on a weekday.
Luckily I've been extra good since they got me otherwise I'd have been banned within 3 weeks! Anyway fuck 'em. Got Holly's birthday to look forward to soon, can yas believe she's almost 1!!! Remember Adam winning the sweep ha ha!
All the best to you all from me and mine to you and yours

Thats the easiest way for them as no one would think they would set up a trap on a industrial estate I too have been done by them on a Ind estate it makes a mockery of catching the fookwits that ovetake you in a 30 zone or trying to break the land speed record in said areas, where it is much easier to set up in a quite industrial estate and watch the cash flow in whilst keeping there quotas for catching speeding motorists at an all time high.Easypeasy
