That's as stupid as the FA giving him a deal before the World Cup and also the FA saying the next England manager will be English.

Can't they just keep things under wraps? It's not good for anyone leaking information out this way.

Quit in 2012 because England will do shit again?

Tornare a casa. La vostra missione è finita.

Harry Redknapp, Fat Sam Allardyce and Steve Bruce have already been named as possible successors.

Looks like we won't be winning the 2014 World Cup then.

Or with any luck, none of the above might get it.

My opinion is i would like to see Harry get the job, he is English and passionate about English football. In my eyes the best English manager for the job. What English manager would others pick?

I agree with Jake, Redknapp definately the right man to do it, Spurs fans may not appreciate it. Harry deserves a shot at it, he's personable, got good man management skill, his teams have always respected him.

We keep missing the point though, England fans get all excited about who the next boss will be and forget that it doesn't matter. Until there is a fundamental change of attitude by the premier league and the FA towards intl. football, nothing will ever change. Of course I'm talking about a winter break (Even if it's only taken in a tournament year). You suspend the league in January of world cup/euro year. Send the players and their families on holidays for a fortnight. Give them light training (week three of the break), nothing heavy, and in the fourth week they maybe play a friendly like the european clubs do. Do that and watch the difference in a) how british teams do in Europe and 2) How they perform internationally.

At least try it for one year. Where's the harm in that?

Of course to do that the league cup may have to be looked at, even though many clubs rest players in the early rounds anyway.
