Can you remember your first ever match?
Mine was at Ayresome Park in 1988/89. Boro played Spurs and we drew 2-2. Gazza played for Spurs at the time and a barrage of mars bars was thrown at him at half time as he came off, he picked one up and started eating it lol! Was in Rioch's era when we won successive promotions from the old 3rd to the old 1st division.

February 1979 it was. United beat fulham 1-0 in fa cup match, might have been a replay. I had just turned four, my da tells me, and I sat on his knee in the south stand. You could do that then. I have no real memories of it being so young. We used to spend a lot of time in Manchester when I was young as me dads brother worked and lived in salford. Still does. My first proper memories of going are in the early eighties watching Moran, Mcgrath, Whiteside and Stapleton and my favourite ever player Bryan Robson.

Like Ruudboy I was taken to my first match as a bairn of four. Sunderland 7 Arsenal 1 , hat-trick for Trevor Ford and a goal and dazzling display from Len Shackleton...not that I can remember anything about it.
The first one I can remember was Sunderland 1 Spurs 1 in 1957, Billy Bingham scored for Sundeland, Danny Blanchflower a penalty for Spurs.

I can't remember for sure. I'm pretty certain it was Wealdstone, if not them then it was Watford.

Are you sure that your dad didn't take you to Waterstone's for a Ladybird book?

I was once the mascot (not in a chicken suit or any crap, the little kid that runs out with the players) for Wealdstone. I still have the signed football

I can't beat that Adam, mascot next best thing to playing. I did volunteer as a stweard for Waterford United many years back. Hilarious thing about that is the head steward telling you: "Never get distracted by the game!! Eyes on the punters all the time"!!
I swear there were times when the crowd was 400-500 people and there were 50 stewards!!!!
you couldn't make it up

A mate of mine has managed to get his brother to be a mascot in the next Wigan game, the Sunderland one. So I'll be keeping an eye out for him

Apparently was in late 1969 at Goodison against Liverpool ... my dad took my brothers and I and turned me into an Evertonian that day as he was the only blue compared to my two red brothers (they took after our mother .. lol)
We lost too and by all accounts, was also the day my dad taught me to swear .. lol
I have no memory of the match whatsoever but it was after the new year my dad started taking me to all matches at Goodison that season and I do remember the celebrations of winning the title .. but only patches of matches .. lol.
Didn't go to my first non-Goodison/Anfield match until a couple of years later though

First Arsenal match was at Maine Road sitting with the home support, in the third row right beside the stairs directly across the pitch from the Arsenal supporters(City fans will know where I mean). I am unsure whether it was 76 or 77 but Peter Barnes scored in the first minute and Supermac equalised after 13 which prompted me as a stupid boy to jump into the stairway and give the home support the two fingers with both hands while shouting who is a wanker now (Macdonald had been getting dogs abuse), the home fans didn't batter me and went home happy with a 2-1 win.

I can't remember my first ever match but can vaguely remember my first match outside N. Ireland. I was 17 and had just joined the merchant navy so it was 1978-79.
It was in the Meracana Stadium in Rio and was, I think, the last game of the season and there were 3 sets of supporters there. I can't remember the details but the result decided which of the 3 won the league. Vasco da Gama and Flamengo were two of the teams involved. I can't remember the other.
The seating was rows of moulded concrete and I drunk a lot of Brahma Chopp, the local beer.

Can recall my dad taking me to see my hometown team (Barrow) play a few times in the late 1960's, remeber thenm beating Brentford 5-1 and wining promotion to Div3 in 1968 (they were top of it for one whole evening!!!!)
Went to see Celtic for the first time in 1977, beat Dundee Utd 2-1 and i realised i was in my true home

Our kid took us, 86 at Roker, vs Newport County in the FA cup. Main stand seats, only time i ever went in the seats at Roker.
Remember walking out and seeing the pitch for the first time, it was like a bright green carpet.
George Burley made his debut for us. We won 2 nowt.
