Can you block ads like this?
The sort that start streaming video as soon as you click on them like this one http://www.football-italia.net/news (I have ad block plus) |

It depends if the ads have been inserted by the streaming platform or the streamer. We can't get rid of ads inserted by the platform, usually video ads.
Ad-block gets rid of the ads which appear on top of the stream.

Should also point out that recently (last update i think) adBlock Plus has come into some agreement or arrangement where by default it allows "non-intrusive" ads still. This can be unchecked if you go to the filter page on the add-on options.
Sneaky move - but at least it can be unchecked.

Their excuse was that it allowed sites that rely on ad revenue to stay afloat, which I don't disagree with by any means, but ads are always intrusive one way or another. |
