Broadband advice

Hello,

Was looking for some advice on broadband. Im with sky at the mo and in the last few months its really slowed down. When i called them they said it was due to traffic and nowt they could do about it due to it being a bt exchange. My speeds used to be pretty stable at around 5 meg all day but now i just get 5 meg in the morning but the rest of the day it can be as slow as 0.3 meg.
So Im thinking change provider but the thing is, is it not just the same lines it comes through no mater who the provider, so there for the same traffic problems?
We dont have telewest/virgin here so no fibre optics.

Does anyone know if changing provider will make any difference?
