hi wiz been checking tvcatchup seems to be working ok with me tried all 5 terrestrial channels
so you are loosing your connection when viewing some channels or all of them ?
not sure exactly what could be causing that
is it only when viewing tcu or is it happening with any other flash streams ?

cheers for looking into it.
i just checked the site now, went to load a channel, and whilst trying to load my connection dropped off.
however, while it constantly happens with that site, i think it may be problem with my connection, the last couple of days its been randomly dropping off now and again. i'm gonna reset the router and see what happens (O2)

i think as you suggested it could be something to do with the flash,
i reset the router and its working a bit better now. however before i did that it dropped off while on the o2 surprises site, which i think is flash based
i'll just have to see how long it works for

Might be a virus on your PC affecting your internet connection.

Wiz i fear Begbie may be right it could be a virus or a piece of spyware causing the conection to drop
please run a deep scan using any/all anti virus programes you have just to make sure it is not case
if computer clean then it may be a router fault or simply a fault at your providers end
but please do the scan to make sure

Thanks guys,
I've scanned for viruses and stuff using mcafee, malwarebytes and super antispyware... but theres nothing there.
The ironic thing is that i used these last week to clean out my laptop of viruses that were slowing it down that mcafee didnt pick up, and before doing this the internet connection was fine.
I'm thinking its a problem with the ISP router, or most likely a vista protocol issue (as something similar happened before regarding IPV6)

Give it one last deep scan using this: http://www.eset.com/online-scanner
I've found it to be pretty good.
These people are pretty good at sorting out PC problems.
