Agreed, Raff. I thought that was one of the reasons for the 25-man squad.
Does this mean that the Premier League makes the team selections now?

It is a joke. You should be able to play any members of your 25 man squad in any game.

The thing is, they weren't stuffed and they didn't just roll over. He selected a team capable of getting a result.

How many times has arsenal or man utd played weakened sides and they have not been fined.I agree picking on the so called wee teams.Blackpool should refuse to pay up and take it to the court of arbrition.Did uefa fine man utd for feilding a weakened team against rangers in the champions league,dont think so.

I was livid last year when Wolves did it but I didn't think it was possible to get into trouble with the new squad rules.

Total disgrace
I think that Blackpool should appeal, whether you argue squad rotation or resting tried or trusted players. They almost got a result and it laughable that the F.A. get involved, as he mentioned in his interview " The Chairman doesn't pick the Team so why should they "

Just remember those changes made for the Old Trafford game, nine of those players remained regulars for the rest of the season, i wasn't happy at the time, but it's up to the paid Manager who he picks, same goes for Holloway. |
