Outrageous!!

You wouldnīt have minded losing out to Spain/Portugal or Holland/Belgium, but Russia? And then fucking Qatar??!!!

That cumstain Blatter has been sticking the knife into English football for years! Russia is a mafia state. Theres no question of it. Iīm absolutely gutted. Iņm not a huge fan of international fottie and qualifying games drive me bananas, but the world cup itself, and to have the opportunity to witness it and meet fans from all over the world, itīll be Twenty years now before it could be in England again. Bollocks

I watched the proceedings on the "Russia Today" channel. They were ecstatic at the result. Their reporters dotted around various cities in Russia, seemed quite unprepared to hear that Russia had got the world cup.
As for England's PR job, how could they have got it so wrong? Saying that England is the birthplace of modern football,(it isn't, by the way) as if gives them an automatic right to stage the World Cup was pretty inept.
Bragging about how well-organised the English FA is only served to imply that Fifa is content with poorly organised FAs in its other member countries.
Saying that England didn't need to build new stadiums because the existing ones are state of the art, must have been like a red rag to a bull as far as Fifa was concerned. Fifa must have perceived England's presentation as being both pompous and arrogant.
As for the accusations of Fifa's corruption that now fill the press: I very much doubt that we would be hearing them if England had been awarded the World Cup.
