Barcelona v Man United build up

Well,

Gary Lineker says Barcelona only have to play well to win. He has assured readers of bbc.co.uk/football, that there is such a huge gulf in class between the teams, that United are depending on Barcelona playing poorly to have a chance.
I don't believe there is such a gap. Barca deserve top billing no doubt. But United are an excellent team, with an incredible work ethic and the ability to break with ferocious pace and deadly precision. All of this backed up by a rock solid back five.

It's early, but I am guesing this will be the team on Saturday:

van der sar, fabio, vidic, ferdinand, evra, carrick, giggs, park, valencia, rooney and hernandez.
subs: lindegard, berbatov, smalling, fletcher, rafael, scholes and owen

it's incredible to think John O Shea will not play a part. He has had an excellent season, injury apart. I said in the united thread, I believe we have the greatest squad ever assembled and this may have a bearing on saturday.

good point deadly, I forgot about Anderson. I am basing my guess on the fact your bench is limited to seven players. I could be wrong, maybe the whole squad can be on the bench?

Barca (Again!) will be wearing red blue. We will be in all white.

I would be surprised if Owen got anywhere near the subs bench. I think Sunday was his swan-song.

You are wearing white to signal your surrender to a vastly superior team who you are hoping take pity on your lot. I am hoping for a mass brawl as this is nearly as bad as Chels/Utd for me-lose/lose scenario.

Quality. On my street there are two Moan United Season Ticket Holders and today they put up flags out their windows. The Manchester City Season Ticket Holder who lives next door put a "Manchester City FA Cup Winners 2011" one out his window about an hour later. Saturday is going to be fun me thinks. I have a Barca top upstairs and I dunno if I have the courage to wear it to the pub. It's very rough (When I asked for the old firm game to be put on the landlord told me to fuck off...he did put it on in the end like).

Building up to be some game. Great that all of the star players on both teams are all fully fit and raring to go too.( may be wrong?)
Just hope it leads up to the hype and also it's fitting that it should be the 2 best teams in the world playing against each other.

I can't see past a Barca victory.

Anyway a mate went to Neville's Testimonial on Tuesday. Saw him in town and he said he met Ian Brown and is going to have a pint with him in London before the match. With him and Bez. I've asked him to get both of their's autographs. Not to arsed about Bez but Ian Brown....Lead singer of my fav ever band?
