it's amazing alright. We'd better get used to seeing it. A lovely bloke who is a director of Macclesfield Town spends time in our part of Spain. He hinted at the average wages across the board in league two and I was very surprised, considering a gate of 2-3 thousand would seem to be a good day for a club at that level. He said fellow directors at other clubs are investing money that they will never see a return on, because they love the club and have grown up in the area. Survival is the annual goal, not progression of any sort. He says their hearts sink if they don't get to the 3rd round of the cups when the big clubs come in. That's all they can hope for in terms of cash coming in.
